For those of you who visit the nursery you will have the opportunity to stroll though our small woodland and walled gardens where you will see many of our shade loving introductions growing.

Many of the plants you will see are new - not seen in cultivation before. Do not worry if you do not recognise them as help is at hand. We have yet to meet anybody who can walk through the gardens and recognise everything they see!

At any time of year you will find something of interest to tempt you.

From the woodland, you will make your way into our walled garden - here you will see more wonderful collections growing. On a recent visit Stephen Lacey described his walk as “squeezing and ducking through foliage as lush as a wooded Asian valley – palm-like Schefflera and Daphniphyllum, huge–leafed Tetrapanax, all wonderful stuff.”

We do not believe you will go away disappointed.  As Roy Lancaster said after his first visit “I left reluctantly with one thought in my head; if heaven is like this, here’s hoping.”
