The renowned Crûg Farm Plants nursery in North Wales is hosting two events for gardening connoisseurs this spring.

Photography Workshop with Andrea Jones
Saturday & Sunday 5th & 6th April

Leading plant and garden photographer Andrea Jones will be holding a workshop, with one of the UK’s foremost digital imaging specialists Graeme Cookson, at the photogenic nursery of modern-day plant hunters Sue and Bleddyn Wynn-Jones. The cost for the two days will be £245.

National Garden Scheme Open Garden Day

On our open garden days we invite the public to visit our walled display garden, which opens on  the eastern side to breathtaking views of  Snowdonia behind some of the wooded gardens, surrounding the front of Crûg House. On from here following directions, to the Mound*, which is now our private part of the gardens. From here you will be directed to our splendid ysgubor (stone barn) for home made teas and cakes, that are run by our village branch of National Society of the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC). Then you will be presented with the opportunity to purchase as many plants as you can fit in your vehicle.

This year our open day under the National Garden Scheme is on Sunday 25th May

Welsh Historic Garden Trust Plant Fair
Saturday 3rd May

This is a date that should not be missed. In addition to all of the features of our open gardens during the National Garden Scheme, specialist nurseries and garden related crafts from all over the country are invited to participate. While the WHGT will be serving home-made country fare, throughout the day, with the added attraction of cream teas.

There is a modest entry fee for adults and free parking.  The event is well advertised and has attracted visitors from far afield. It is rare for anyone to leave empty handed!

The high profile Plant Fair is the WHGT's main fundraising event of the year, helping to finance the trust's work in recording and safeguarding the historic gardens of Gwynedd.
